May 19 - My Guilty Pleasure (Birthday Part 3)

i finished watching my movie and snack.  played some baseball with dad.  read books with mom.  and now, it's 9:30, you know what that means . . .

DQ, here I come.  of course, we stop to look at the ice cream cakes in the display case.  hey, there's a very little cake in the case tonight.

it's for me. 

 oops.  the cake is frozen solid.  i can't cut it.

that's okay, we can take the cake home.  let's have a cup of ice cream instead.  have you ever tried to sip/suck ice cream that isn't all melted?

it's very fun.  but, you have to have very good lung power to make it come up the straw.

editor's note:  thank heaven for our miracles.  erynn's lungs are fully developed and fully functioning.  you'd never know she was on oxygen for 103 days waiting for her lungs to develop and be able to support her breathing.  erynn can run, play, sing, shout, cry and suck a straw just like any other child.

May 19 - Grandparents = Presents (Birthday Part 2)

we came home from the zoo.  i opened the door and found a birthday cake and birthday presents sitting on the kitchen table.  first we sang happy birthday to me. then, i blew out the candles two at a time. 

cake time over.  onto presents.  i love presents.

i look good in my dresses.

time to go watch my new movie and have a snack.

what a great birthday.

May 19 Erynn's New Rules (Birthday Part 1)

you may have read about my top three list (see prior blog entry) but that's old news now.

my new rule of life is . . . .  four times, because i'm four.   yes, that's right.  uh-huh.

my birthday was at the zoo with mom and dad.  we went to see africa animals including one-two-three giraffes.

i opened birthday presents while waiting for the raptor flight show.  i got a make my own zoo book and an alphabet fishing pole.

then, we ate our birthday cupcake near the roaring dinosaurs.  i am four, now i can cut with a knife. see.  it was a chocolate peanut butter cupcake.  i picked it out myself.  it was yummy and i ate my whole slice.

after trekking through most of the zoo, we got tired and decided to ride the up and down horseys.

 then, we went home to open more presents from grandma and grandpa and gg.

p.s. my school is coming to the zoo next week for a field trip.  mommy and i are going to go see the rest of the zoo then. 

May 13 - Helpin at the Wedding

sean and katie got married.  everyone had a job to do before the wedding.  i'm a great helper, so i got a job.  i take flowers out of the bag and sprinkle them on the path.

i am doing my job now.  i don't have time for pictures.  this is important work.  who are you?

My Year at Preschool

today i am writing about my year in preschool.  i am still in preschool, but i have a lot of pictures to share with you already.

september - i start school and look around my classroom.  i love to play with the town blocks and cars.  i will play near other kids but i like to play by myself better.  (no one steals the toys from me.)

october - i have lots of fun during circle time.  i help with the calendar and learn actions to songs and dance with a new friend.

november - daddy is my best friend.  i can dress up and be daddy at preschool.

december - i can ride in my friend's wagon cause i am still little enough for the teacher to pull us both.  my teacher is asking questions and i am helping give the answers.

 january - i love to bop until i drop. apparently i also like to wear pink and black.  but i defintely like to drive.  we drove race cars in the playground.  i can drive very fast.  i look good in my car.

february - i am making a new friend.  he is new in our class.  i can dance and i can play with others and share and take my turn.

march - i (that's mine) brought something to show and tell.  it's my swimsuit.  i'm playing with kids at the marble run and at the water table too.

april - we are bees.  some of the bees sit on balls to help make bigger muscles in our bodies.  i like to do constructions.  i don't let the boys take my tools away from me.  but, i do share and take turns when i have to. 

may - i really like experiments.  i am going to find out if the fan will blow the pom-poms.  no, the pom-poms are too heavy. 

gotta go.
the bus is coming.
