I love kindergarten. I can read and I am learning to write too. We study authors every month. This month we are studying Mo Willems. He wrote a lot of books about "The Pigeon" like "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus".
When we study an author, we read his books and learn about his life. We also do other things like see the stories on video or as a play. And, we do art like the pictures in the books.
I learned how to draw "The Pigeon" and then paint over the top and then outline over the top when its dry.

Time to read books while the paint dries. |
How did I do? Have I told you yet? I am an Artist.

Editor's Note: The "hidden" benefits of having a kindergarten teacher with a degree in graphic arts also.
