we have a duty to our world to save and protect all the little creatures in it. 

when you find a turtle on the beach (no matter what kind of turtle it is) . . .

you need to pick it up gently . . .

and return it to the water.

but don't go too far into the water. . .

and remember to wash your hands.

July 16 The Benefits of Reading the Mail

the mail came to gg's house with the parks and recreation pamphlet.  momma read it then we went to an amazing little park. 

with a train . . .

and a jungle gym and swings . . .

and a merry go round . . .

and a zoo and a tunnel and picnic tables and open spaces and lots of sun.

time to go home for a nap.  its 90+ outside.  where's the air conditioning?

July 13,14 No More Monkeys

gg has a lot of fruit trees in her yard.  so, we have a lot of leaves in our pool.  time to empty the pool but it's too heavy.  who can empty the pool?

a little bucket is a wonderful tool.  i'm getting hot again. 

lets go swimming, that'd be a good idea.  daddy thinks we should take a nap.

silly daddy.  let's jump on our airbeds. 

momma called the doctor and the doctor said

July 11,12 Party Central - Blake and Haley (and jared and erynn)

it was the family birthday party when everyone in California at the time gets together to celebrate a couple of birthdays.  so, this month was for blake and haley.  we were very nice guests.  we ate dinner and waited for the party to begin very nicely. 

we smiled and said cheese for the photographers.

then blake and haley started opening their presents.  there were a lot of presents on the table.  too many presents i think for just two people. 

yes, i was right.  all the children received some presents.  but the birthday people received the most and the biggest presents.  i love family birthday and my ballerina barbie. 

jared loves his bionicle.  he even said "this ones a keeper."

then we sang happy birthday and ate birthday cake and birthday cake frosting and ice cream.  i love family birthday.

did i mention i love family birthday and my pink sunglasses.

July 9,10 Can't Play in the Sun Girl Party

as i always say, "if life hands you lemons, it's time for lemonade."

so, we decided to have a girls party. haley and i sent up the princess tent in the livingroom. (here is picture proof of how severe my facial sunburn is. the "white" spots are where the sunscreen stick worked. and yes, my face is still swollen.)

momma painted our toenails pink/red (and her toenails too.)

haley just came from the salon with a braid in her hair.

and, i put my hair up in a ponytail through my cap.

we are so grown up.

July 7,8 I Hope I Make It Home Alive

1.  my feet grew, my shoes did not.  two blisters.  one on my big toe and one on my heel.  new shoes now.

2. playing chase in the house with my seven year old cousin.  bit my cheek bloody, bruise on my chin.

3. shopping for new shoes.  fell off the bench on to my head and flopped over.  good thing i am still quite rubbery. no lasting marks.

4.  went to lake, went to ocean.  blistering sunburn on face.  love me you photograpers.

i hope i make it home alive.  i don't go outside again until next week if my face heals.

Jul 5,6 A Visit to the Ocean

we're going to the beach again.  gg and papa liked going to Pomponio Beach just south of San Gregorio, so we all headed out to the beach for a family day.  this is my edmunds family.  we are missing papa, megan and david, garrett and kelsey. 

it was windy, so i put my hair in a pony tail.  it was cold, so i put my body in my fairy princess towel.  i run up and down the beach.  i dug in the sand.  i flew a bag kite.  i saw kites and people flying across the water. 

i played with mommy and daddy.  i played with my cousins, and my gg. 

there's lots more pictures of us playing.  but you need to get back to work.  here we are lounging in the chair mommy dug.

p.s.  i didn't wear enough sunscreen and my cheeks are burnt and blistered a little.  mommy and daddy feel very bad.
