Sept 2 - Sick Day and Exciting News

I got my first cold. Coughing, congestion, runny nose and snot everywhere. So, I put on my winter jammies and stayed home for a few days and played with my new playhouse.

did i mention that i can stand myself up now using my toys to help me. i still can't stand all by myself without anything to hold onto. i am working on that.

did i mention that i crawl, too. i'd rather have mommy and daddy fetch things for me, but i can crawl about if i am in the mood. i am working on walking next.

yes, erynn has long feet and a new pair of size 5 shoes for walking practice. she's growing up so fast.

Aug 29 Dress Up Fun

unh, unh, unh. i got a new hair cut. it's not a good hair cut. so, i get to play dress up. ballarina barbie ? but i'm not wearing pink. can you see my shapely hula-legs ?

only seven dwarfs ? what if i need eight ?

Aug 26 - The State Fair

erynn took gg and mommy to the state fair: erynn: hurry up mommy and gg, i want to see the rides and the animals and the people and i want . . . . . erynn: see, there, cars, train, bears, i want . . . erynn: what do you mean? i am very tall. i am 2 ft and 6 inches tall. that's 30 inches.

mommy: yes, you are very tall. but, you have to be at least 36 inches tall to go on the rides.

erynn: that's crazy, let's go see the cows.

erynn: they're not saying moo. let's go see the chickens. erynn: hmmmm. these are turkeys, not chickens.

erynn: i can wait all day if i have to mr. rooster. let's hear a loud cock-a-doodle-doo.

erynn: what's that loud drumming sound?

mommy: aztec and mayan dancers.

erynn: i can dance.

erynn: what's that?

mommy: the top of the ferris wheel. you have to be a lot taller to ride on that. let's go home and take a nap.

gg: not til after we have some fair food that's not good for us. :)

p.s. if you forget your sunscreen and you go to the fair, the nice firemen at the first aid station will let you use some of theirs. (and they liked my eyelashes, too.)

Aug 18 - My First Solo Concert

thank you, thank you. maestro. and you. what a beautiful audience we have here tonight. my first piece is dedicated to Grandma Cathy who will be turning 75 tommorrow. i call it, happy birthday to you. a now for a little rhapsody in blue . . .

hey, you're supposed to start your "row, row, row. . ." when i am singing "gently down the stream." you know a little cooperation and doing what i want to do when i want you to do it would go a long way here.

please excuse the technical difficulties we've just experienced with the family choir. you've been a lovely audience. i need to go and put the family choir to sleep, they are getting a little cranky. sweet dreams for you too.

to my dearest fans and readers, i am very sorry for not writing for such a long time. i have not been able to get to the computer with mommy and daddy and gg and outages etal. i learned how to back date my blogs so that they match up with when my pictures were taken. so, i am also very sorry if this is confusing for you. i hope you still love me. i've got to finish brushing my teeth and my hair. mommy is threatening another hair cut for me. so, please excuse me. i have to do my hair fast before mommy can see how long it is on the top.

July 21 to 28 - Hanging with the Family

hey, guess what, i have little people cousins? i thought i only had giant old people for cousins. this is haley. she is four years old. we can play the piano together.

haley can play the piano better than me because she has been playing the piano for a very long time.

but, i can still "cut a rug". come on gg, i got a boogie beat going.

gg prefers the classical music. watch out haley. coming through. i have a very high note to play for a moment. did you see how fast haley can move her fingers on the piano? wow.

did you like the girls piano concert? oh no, jared and haley like to tickle me. blake, where are you? help me. save me. why isn't mommy or daddy or uncle kelly or aunt teresa saving me. why?

oh yay, aunt teri and uncle greg to the rescue. whoosh.

no more tickling. i'll tell the baby (in the mirror). daddy, don't you encourage him.

free at last to tickle my own toes.

i can't believe it. california has exersaucers too. . . .
