Sep 18 - Jellybean and Wiggles

Erynn: Excuse me, can't you see I am taking a bath? You're supposed to knock before entering. I don't have any clothes on.

Erynn: Hey, something or someone tastes very yummy. Is that the rain? Is that the Grandma? Is that the Jellybean? Jeremy: Yes, Wiggles. It's me, Jellybean. Do you want me to tell you a baby joke? Erynn: Oh, yes. Jeremy: Did you hear about the baby who was named after his father? Erynn: No. Jeremy: They call him "Dad". Erynn: Oh, that was a good one, Jellybean. You're very funny. Hey, it's time for my nap in my cradle swing. Do you want to swing with me? Jeremy: No, Wiggles. The swing is too small for two people. Hey, what's this I hear about you being naughty again. What did you do? Erynn: What do you mean I have been naughty again? I am too little to be naughty. I am only cute and cuddly and adorable. I am a very sweet cherub. I don't know how my nose tube came out or where it went. I don't know why Mommy swaddles me and keeps my hands out of the way. I am innocent I say. INNOCENT.

WANTED: ERYNN ANN EDMUNDS

CRIME: Pulling out her nose tube daily

WARNING: Super cute and cuddly

WARNING: Appears innocent

USE EXTREME CAUTION,

YOU COULD FALL IN LOVE WITH HER.

Note to Reader: Jeremy and Erynn are the only cousins on the Kelly side of the family who received nicknames before they were born.

Sep 17 - Lights, Camera, Action

Are we on? Is the music queued up? Should I start?
Good morning, friends and welcome to "excercising with erynn". Today I will be demonstrating a light early morning stretching routine to help you tone your muscles and face the day.
Before we start, place your exercising mat on a soft yet sturdy surface to reduce stress on your joints. And remember, before starting any exercising regimen, you should see your doctor to ensure your body is able and willing to exercise.
Let's begin with a little stretch. Raise your arms above your head and pretend to reach for your favorite toy. Now, lift your feet and legs in a tricycling motion. Turn the wheels with your feet at a very slow pace.
Keeping pedalling until you to get to Grandpa's house. That's right.
By the way, my doctor said that I am doing very well. My lungs sound very supple and do not crack when I breathe in deeply. My eyes are bright and my ears are very awake. I am totally social and communicative and love to think about my thumb.
Ok, now that we are at Grandpa's house. It's time to get jiggy. Turn up the music, move your feet and hands and arms. Dance to the music. Don't forget a little fresh hip-hop action.
My reflexes are coming in and going out as they should. And, I don't get stuck in a reflex.
Stop the music. Time for a little reflex resting position. This is the fencing, archer or tonic neck reflex. It happens when we lay on our back and look at something in one direction. The one hand reaches forward while the other comes up behind your head. En garde.

Cut, cut, cut. I need a break. I am bushed. Everyone, take five.

Note from Mommy: As you can see, Erynn was a naughty little girl this week and very proud of herself. Everyday she pulled out her feeding tube and Mommy had to reinsert in everyday. Now, Mommy has a good taping technique to keep Erynn from pulling the tube out so much. But, in the realm of making lemonade out of lemons, we did take a lot a face pictures while the tube was removed. (alas . . . )

Aug 31 to Sept 8 - Coming Home to Napland

Note to Reader: Yes, it has been a month since my last blog. I’ve been busy learning how to be a newborn baby in the big world. I’ve got lots of pictures to share and story to tell. Hopefully, Mommy can help me get things organized so that we can catch you up.

Daddy, it’s time for us to go home. You need to take me home with you today. I am all dressed up and ready to go. I am going to keep my feeding tube for a little bit. But, I passed all my other tests and I have arranged a doctor’s appointment for Tuesday. Let’s go.

I know we aren’t getting married Daddy, but will you carry me over the threshold ? That car ride was very nice. I like the jiggly-ness. Mommy was so nice to sit next to me so that I didn’t get scared. Not even when that really loud truck passed us on the road.

Oh, thank you for putting me down in the shade. That sunshine is really bright. Here is one of my baby bugs. I didn’t want her to be scared in her new home either. I will be very nice to her so that she feels safe. Don’t you think it’s a good time for a nap? There are many places in my house where I can nap . . . . In my crib with all my pals . . . or In my glider with my Auntie Inge . . . or On my couch in Mommy’s arms . . . or In my pink cradle swing . . . or On top of my big girl bed.
